The sitter, a specific individual, enjoys splendid isolation from the real world. Imbued with calm and decorum. This series takes everyday people beyond the realm of banality, infusing what would otherwise appear to be insignificant with psychology and emotion. Employing photography as a fictive medium capable of creating uncanny, complex realities out of seemingly straightforward compositions. As such, this work is based on the dichotomy between fact and fiction and asks the viewer to question the assumed truths that the photographic image offers.

A set was built in an unoccupied commercial space within a Shopping Centre in London. Over two days curious souls were enticed to stand absolutely as they were in front of the lens.
